Hull has a Banksy!!

Breaking news Year 6!
Hull has its very own Banksy work of art! Discovered in the early hours of this morning, it certainly has the city in a spin.
Banksy's work is notoriously loaded with hidden meaning... How do you interpret this image? Put your modals to good use to help you explore it...
What could particular details mean? What might he be trying to say? What may happen as a result?

Let me know what you think...

Weekly attendance... Christmas week

Hi all and welcome back- I hope your 2018 has started off well.

Ours certainly has... Quite unexpectedly, during Monday's attendance assembly, it was announced that 6SB had won the attendance award for the first time this year!!!
As you are aware, the target is 96% and we achieved...

Wait for it...

100%

I wasn't expecting that at all but it has proved once and for all that we can do it and as we approach the end of year 6, it's more important than ever. So with that in mind, let's really go for it- let's aim to have the highest attendance every week!

If you find it a struggle, think about what you can do at home to help:
  • Get your clothes and school bag prepared the night before so you're not rushing in the morning.
  • Set an alarm (or two) five minutes earlier each morning so you don't sleep in.
  • If you find you're just tooooo tired in the morning, think- am I getting enough sleep? Go to bed half an hour earlier and see if that helps.
  • Try shutting off from computers/ phones/ tablets/TV an hour before bed so you are ready for sleep.
Let us know if these help or suggest some things that work for you in the comments.
